    Josie's painting depicts olden time people of Apungalingum out on the homelands collecting bush food. The major portion of the painting shows people holding coolamons (wooden bowls) on their heads filled with ntyerrm (dogweed seeds) and akatyerre (tomatoes) which they have been collecting. In the top portion of the painting, the people (and camp dog) are returning to camp whilst hunting for small game such as bush turkey and perentie.
