Die Entwürfe in diesem Gemälde sind vom Honig des Korkholzbaums Ntyweyampe inspiriert. Ntyweyampe kommt von zwei Anmatyerre-Wörtern: ntywey für den Korkholzbaum und ampe für Honig.

Der Corkwood-Baum bringt wunderschöne gelbe Blüten und eine ausgeprägte Korkrinde hervor. Aus den Blüten wird Honig gewonnen, indem man sie entweder lutscht oder in Wasser einweicht, um daraus ein süßes Getränk zuzubereiten. Dies wird auch getrunken, wenn man krank ist. In den heißen Sommermonaten rieselt der Honig auch aus den Blüten und den Baum hinunter und verwandelt die Rinde in einen köstlichen, zähen Sirup.
