Atnwelarr (Pencil Yam) und Kame Story
Alhalkere-Land
In der Traumzeit wurden zwei verschiedene Samen geboren, die zwei verschiedene Arten von Bleistift-Yamwurzeln hervorbrachten. Kame , der winzige Samen der Yamswurzel namens Atnwelarr, ist eine wichtige Traumgeschichte für die Menschen in Alhalkere.
Der Atnwelarr ist ein hängendes Kraut oder eine Schlingpflanze, die manchmal große Flächen bedeckt, mit hellgrünen Blättern, gelben Blüten und langen, dünnen Yamswurzeln (geschwollene Wurzeln). Sie stellen eine wichtige Nahrungsquelle dar und können roh verzehrt oder in heißem Sand und Asche gekocht werden.
