Sharona began painting professionally in 2016. She paints the story “wild flowers” that was passed onto her from her grandmother, the late Maggie Kemarre. Her sister, Sacha Long Petyarre, also paints wild flowers.
Sharona resides at Arnkawenyerr in the Utopia region with her husband and two daughters.
