“The Dreamtime is the mythological representation of what Aboriginal people carry in their minds. The source of life! This knowledge has not just been planted in their minds, it is taught and structured through initiation and ceremony.” - A.P. Elkin, Professor of Anthropology, 1920’s-1930’s

Sacha began painting at an early age under the guidance of her mother, Marcia Turner, and other female family members. She lives at Utopia with her children and extended family.
The main Dreaming story that belongs to Sacha’s country, Atnangkere, is Arnkerrthe (Mountain Devil Lizard). Arnkerrthe travelled over Sacha’s land creating all of the people, sacred sites, songs and other Dreamtime stories. In its neck it holds a sac of ochre that Sacha's people use for ceremonies. This story is passed down to her on her father’s side.
Sacha is a keen and motivated painter, inspired by her mother's work in particular which represent wild flowers that bloom across the desert floor.
