July 03, 2016 1 min read

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the rich history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The theme of NAIDOC Week 2016 is Songlines: The Living Narrative of Our Nation.

For more information on NAIDOC Week and how you can celebrate or learn more about the rich Aboriginal culture and history in Australia, visit www.naidoc.org.au/celebrating-naidoc-week. The website also has a list of events across the country if you are interested in participating and gaining a better understanding, such as luncheons, storytelling and book launches. If you can't attend, there are plenty of learning opportunities online.
