Die Motive in diesem Gemälde spiegeln den Traum von Anaty (Wüstenyam) wider. Anaty ist das Alyawarr-Wort für Wüsten-Yamswurzel, die einer Süßkartoffel ähnelt und in ganz Zentralaustralien wild wächst. Diese Yamswurzel, die die Größe eines menschlichen Kopfes erreicht, ist eine wichtige Nahrungsquelle für die Aborigines in Zentralaustralien und wird auch heute noch gesammelt und gegessen.
Die lineare Pinselarbeit stellt die Yamswurzel und die Blüte dar, während die Punktarbeit in diesem Gemälde ihren Samen darstellt.
