This painting is inspired by the Dreamtime story of the Ilyarn or Ilyarnayt which is a common variety of acacia. This plant is particularly favoured for the abundance of edible grubs living in the roots and it's edible seeds.

U shaped symbols in this painting represent women who are collecting these seeds (ntang ilyarnaytin order to bring back to the community and make damper (bread).
