Esthers Großmutter war die verstorbene Gloria Petyarre, eine preisgekrönte australische Künstlerin, die für ihre Leaves-Gemälde bekannt ist. Nach dem Tod ihrer Großmutter im Jahr 2021 übernahm Esther ihren Stil in der Hoffnung, ihr Erbe und ihre Liebe zur Malerei fortzuführen.

Über Blätter: Als Gloria jünger war, brachte ihr ihre Mutter bei, wie man aus speziellen Blättern eine medizinische Salbe herstellt. Sie zerdrückte die Blätter und vermischte sie mit dem Fett von Kängurus und Ameisenigeln. Die resultierende Salbe wurde auf ihre Gesichter und Haare aufgetragen, damit ihr kräftiger Duft anhielt und bei Erkältungen linderte.
