Die Motive in diesem Gemälde sind vom Alhepalh ( Acacia dictyophleba ) inspiriert, einem spärlich verzweigten Strauch, der in der Nähe von Hazels Haus in der Utopia-Region in Zentralaustralien reichlich zu finden ist. Alhepalh produziert kleine, weich überzogene braune Samen, die die Frauen einst sammelten, zu einer Paste zermahlen und zu Brot (Brot) kochten, was sie zu einer äußerst wichtigen Nahrungsquelle machte. Aufgrund des Fertigbrotes ist diese Praxis jedoch nicht mehr üblich.

Die Samen des Alhepalh werden gesammelt, damit sie gemahlen werden können.

Abhängig von der Größe des Strauchs kann sein Stamm auch zur Herstellung von Speeren und Grabstöcken verwendet werden und war traditionell ein wichtiger Handelsgegenstand. Alhepalh hat auch medizinische Eigenschaften und bringt kleine duftende Blüten hervor.
