This painting depicts two activities Dinny enjoys about his life in Central Australia's remote Utopia region. A bush football match is being held at Arlparra Store; the main general store serving the region. Bush football receives a passionate involvement from the Utopia community throughout the course of its season and sees the teams named after and don insignia of some of the AFL’s most prominent teams. Utopia teams include the Apungalingum Eagles for whom Dinny barracks for.A dirt road divides the painting and a service at Dinny's small community Baptist Church is being witnessed. A rock band made up of young community men are playing gospel music while some of the women, including Dinny's wife Josie, sing. The two buildings, Dinny notes, are community laundry rooms but the orange one has been turned into a medical clinic by Josie.
