About

Esther's grandmother was the late Gloria Petyarre, an award winning Australian artist known for her Leaves paintings. After her grandmother's passing in 2021, Esther took on her style in the hopes of continuing her legacy and love of painting.

About Leaves: Gloria's mother taught her how to make a medicinal ointment from special leaves when she was younger. She would crush the leaves and mix it with fat from kangaroos and echidnas. The resulting ointment was applied to their faces and hair so that its powerful aroma would linger and aid in the relief of colds.
