Nora ist die Tochter der bekannten Künstlerin Lena Pwerle und begann ihre künstlerische Karriere im Medium Seidenbatik. Zusammen mit mehreren anderen Frauen wurden ihre Werke für die Sammlung Robert Holmes á Court in Auftrag gegeben und sind in der Feature-Publikation enthalten.
In den späten 1980er Jahren wechselte Nora zum Medium Acryl. Ihre Gemälde stellen oft die träumende Yerramp (Honigameise) dar, die zu ihren Ländern Ngkwarlerlanem und Arnkawenyerr in den nördlichen Ausläufern der Utopia-Region gehört.
Nora lebt mit ihrer Mutter und ihrer großen Großfamilie, darunter den Künstlern Rosie Pwerle und Julie Pengarte, in der Utopia-Region.
