Nakita liebt Tiere und liebt es, den nomadischen Buschtruthahn oder die australische Trappe zu malen. Sein einheimischer Name ist Arwengerrp und man findet ihn in hohen, dichten Grasflächen, wo er sich versteckt, während er nach Nahrung sucht. Er frisst gerne kleine Samen und Strauchfrüchte; insbesondere Akatyerre (Strauchtomaten).
Nakita hat Familie in ganz Zentralaustralien, aber das dichte Buschland Amperlatwatye ist ihr Zuhause. Ihre Mutter ist Joycie Morton Petyarre und ihre Großmutter ist preisgekrönte Künstlerin Betty Morton. Nakita liebt es zu malen, an Sportveranstaltungen teilzunehmen und ihr adoptiertes Kätzchen zu kuscheln.
