Lilys Gemälde stellen oft Traumgeschichten dar, die zu ihren Ländern Ngkwarlerlanem und Arnkawenyerr im nördlichen Utopia gehören. Insbesondere Ilyarnayt und Alhepalh sind in ihren aktuellen Werken vorherrschend, da es sich bei beiden um Akazienarten handelt. Ihre Arbeiten wurden seit 1977 in mehreren Gruppenausstellungen gezeigt, darunter Ausstellungen bei Utopia Art Sydney, der Orange Regional Gallery, der Austral Gallery in St. Louis, USA, der Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin und dem Araluen Art Centre in Alice Springs.
Lily lebt im nördlichen Utopia mit einer starken Künstlerfamilie, darunter Schwester Michelle Lion Kngwarreye und Mutter Queenie Lion Kemarre .
