Bush Berries by Josepha Petrick Kemarre

120cm x 45cm

Ethically sourced and 100% original

Dots in this painting depict a small plum-like mistletoe berry called angkwerrpme. It is one of just a few varieties that are edible; making it an important food source in years gone by. After significant rainfall, angkwerrpme will grow and change from green to shades of yellow, red and orange before finally a blueish purple (close to black) when they fall from the stem.
