  • About the Artists

Our vibrant and dynamic artists are from the Utopia region; a large remote area of Central Australia which, until recently, had no government funded art centre. As a result of their pioneering efforts, they have one of the strongest and richest art histories.

Yerramp (Honey Ant) Dreaming by George Petyarre (SOLD)

    30cm x 30cm

This painting depicts elements of the Yerramp (Honey Ant) Story.

This story begins south of Alice Springs and winds its way north through Utopia, spanning several countries, with each country owning a different part of the story.

"You know Wenton Rubuntja? It starts down that way and comes up, across through Three Bore, through Camel Camp, Homestead. Not Ahlapere. Then Ngkwarlerlanem." - George Petyarre

The four concentric circles in this painting represent four main rockholes or soakages that are significant to this Dreaming.
