About the Artists
Our vibrant and dynamic artists are from the Utopia region; a large remote area of Central Australia which, until recently, had no government funded art centre. As a result of their pioneering efforts, they have one of the strongest and richest art histories.

In this painting, white dot work represents the dry seeds of alpar, black dot work represents the ahakeye (bush plum) and yellow dot work represents ntang artety (mulga seeds) ready to be collected. There are sacred Dreaming stories for Alpar Seed, Ahakeye and the Mulga Seed which belong to Alvira's country, Ilkawerne, and ceremonies are carried out to ensure their productivity.
Other designs reflect elements associated with this story.
Colours: White, Black and Yellow Ochre on Grey Background.
