Bush Medicine by Sandra Teece

Bush medicine is widely used in Amperlatwatye, north of Utopia in Central Australia, and the knowledge continues to be passed down to younger generations. The plants depicted in Sandra's painting are found in the country around Ampilatwatja and are used for soothing skin infections by way of an ointment, or mixed with water to make a drink to help with coughs and colds.
