  • About the Artists

Our vibrant and dynamic artists are from the Utopia region; a large remote area of Central Australia which, until recently, had no government funded art centre. As a result of their pioneering efforts, they have one of the strongest and richest art histories.

      Stretching your painting

The most common form of framing Aboriginal art is stretching.

A 2cm deep stretcher frame is recommended to use, however speak with your framer about other depths or framing options you may wish to use.

      Finding your framer

While we only send smaller works stretched (size 30cm x 30cm or less), we are happy to assist you in finding the right framer for this piece.

If you live in Australia, most framers are familiar with stretching Aboriginal art, and we have some non-affiliated framers in Melbourne and Sydney whom we send art to for stretching.

If you live overseas, we can send your framer information if necessary.

      Example

Below: a painting with a 6cm black canvas border is stretched onto a 2cm deep stretcher frame.
