{"title":"Women's Ceremony and Body Paint Designs","description":"\u003cp\u003eAboriginal body paint designs are perhaps the oldest living art form in the world, these are designs with prehistoric origins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAwelye (or Awely for Alyawarr people) is the term used to describe a women’s ceremony to Anmatyerre and Alyawarr people. Powders ground from ochres, charcoal and ash may be applied, usually with their fingers or a \u003cem\u003etyepale\u003c\/em\u003e (a flat stick with soft padding). The oil helps to keep the powders in place and for easier removal of the ochre powder from the skin. It is important that they stay by the fire. If the atham-areny does touch you, you will feel sick.
